Performs various aspects of medical laboratory testing procedures as determined by leadership. Practices proper specimen handling and processing as outlined in procedure manuals. Checks for add-on tests and confirms dates. Distributes specimens to technical areas. Assists in organizing specimens and may place on analyzer. Performs clerical and support duties under direct supervision. Duties also include instrument maintenance. Interaction with medical staff on a customer service basis. Maintains cooperative working relationship with technical staff and other personnel with focus on quality patient care.
Shifts available: 1st, 2nd
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent degree required. Basic computer skills required. Typing (30 wpm). Experience in healthcare preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
