Under close supervision, performs medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analysis.  May conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of body fluids, blood group, type and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes.  Performs various laboratory tests (utilizing equipment, scopes, test kits, etc.) on various types of patient specimens with special priority to stat and timed orders.  Documents and reports results.  Follows critical protocol.  Duties also include phlebotomy and instrument maintenance.  Interacts with patients, physicians, and hospital staff on a customer service basis with focus on quality patient care.

Shifts available: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is required.
